Networking real-time seismological data exchange (NA2)

Network existing seismological opbservatory networks throughout the European-Mediterranean region into a comprehensive sustainable virtual network and integrate into the global earthquake monitoring network. Improve real-time data availability.

Developments
The networking effort relies heavily on the ORFEUS Annual observatory coordination meetings /workshops (...; Prague, Czech Republic, 2006; Sinaya, Romania, 2007; Barcelona, Spain, 2008; ...). At these workshops new developments, experience and cooperation are discussed and implemented. The Virtual European Broadband Seismograph Network (VEBSN) provide a (near) real time pool of available waveform data provided and exchanged by European Seismological Observatories to promote data availability for research and improve adequate earthquake monitoring.
