ORFEUS (Observatories and Research Facilities for European Seismology), is the non-profit foundation that aims at co-ordinating and promoting digital, broadband (BB) seismology in the European-Mediterranean area.

04-07-2016   TopoIberia seismic data available through ORFEUS EIDA

Data from the seismic network IberArray (IB) in TopoIberia have become available through EIDA. This temporay network comprises more than 200 seismic broadband stations, deployed between 2007 and 2014 on and around the Iberian Peninsula.

24-06-2016   New data available through EIDA

Data from permanent network EG (EUROSEISTEST Strong Motion Network, Greece) have become available through EIDA. This strong motion network is deployed by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, since August 2015. EIDA provides access now to data from more than 5700 seismic stations deployed by European organizations.

12-05-2016   ORFEUS welcomes NOA as new EIDA node

The National Observatory of Athens (NOA) has signed a MoU between NOA and ORFEUS to join EIDA (European Integrated waveform Data Archive), the federated data archive in ORFEUS. NOA provides access to waveform data from networks HL (Hellenic Seismic Network), HC (Seismological Network of Crete) and HP (University of Patras, Seismological Laboratory) through EIDA standardized services.
